Ayaz Kabani, a Canadian of Indian origin, has a vast network of international companies manufacturing professional hair care products. In 2007, he came down to India and did a thorough study of the Indian Professional Hair Care market, consumer behaviors and demands in that segment. In 2008, he launched the first-ever Hair Retexturizing System in India from Bio Ionic. He also went on to invite Hollywood Celebrity Hairdresser Fernando Romero for the launch of Bio Ionic and his own company Beauty Essentials Marketing Pvt. Ltd. In 2009, he introduced PowerTools – Problem Solving Products for hairdressers who perform Chemical and Color services in hair treatments. Soon after, he introduced Cysteine Complex, the first Formaldehyde-Free Keratin Treatment in India. He tied up with brands like Lakme Lever Pvt. Ltd., Jawed Habib and Jean Claude Biguine in 2012 and expanded his network by tying up with more brands like Enrich, VLCC HealthCare Pvt. Ltd., B Blunt, Iosis, Dessange, Saks, Envi, and Toni & Guy in 2013.
Till date, Ayaz and his team of trained professionals have trained more than 3000 hairdressers and are offering their expertise to over 1000 salons in more than 26 cities across India. This type of education-based approach has helped many hairdressers in understanding complex theories and techniques. Ayaz Kabani is also the author of two technical workbooks for hairdressers which addresses hair theory better and usage of the right techniques for hair treatments.
He has contributed greatly to the hair care industry by working closely with the R&D department of international professional hair care companies to develop products to suit the Indian market. Ayaz also owns a Technical and R&D Centre in Mumbai and is constantly involved in research of new innovative products and technologies in the professional hair care segment.
